The City of Grand Prairie invites sealed proposals to provide benefit eligible employees with Pet Insurance who enroll in the plan during each annual open enrollment period or other period as mutually agreed upon between City and carrier consistent with best practice. The City has a calendar year enrollment requirement with off-cycle enrollments for newly benefits eligible employees and new employees. The City of Grand Prairie currently has approximately 1,350 employees who would be eligible to participate in the pet insurance plan on a voluntary basis. Those who elect coverage pay the entire cost of the premium.
